DIY Hair Nourishing Home Remedies

A healthy and nourished head of hair is an outward sign that you’re taking good care of your body. This comes from getting the right nutrients both internally, through food, and externally with quality products designed for your hair type.

When we feed our hair correctly, it leads to less breakage, which translates into a thick, soft, shiny mane that’s strong and bouncy!

The health of your hair is influenced by a number of factors, including deep conditioning treatments, lifestyle choices, stress levels, and the amount of sleep you get. Furthermore, certain supplements may play a role in how healthy your hair will be.

An unhealthy diet coupled with a lack of sleep and too much stress can result in brittle strands that lack shine and vitality. Overusing heating products or chemicals for styling purposes could leave your tresses severely malnourished and damaged.

DIY hair treatments using natural ingredients such as eggs, honey, oils, fruits, milk, etc., are an ideal way to nourish your tresses and make them strong from within.

Not only do these ingredients replenish and repair your hair, but they also protect it from any possible damage – unlike regular store-bought products, which may contain harsh chemicals that could be detrimental to your locks.

Why is my hair dry and or brittle?

Undernourished hair can be identified by the telling signs like brittle hair, dry hair, hair loss, stunted hair growth, reduced hair growth rate, etc. Use hair masks or homemade hair treatments to combat these issues for healthy hair.

Does hair need nourishment?

Hair is part of you. Like every other part of your body needs sustenance and nourishment, hair does too.

However, unlike other key organs, only excess nourishment, or in other words, remaining nourishment after key organs and body parts are taken care of, will go to hair and nails.

So you need to take in enough nutrients to cover your body and, of course, your hair.

What is the difference between nourishing and moisturizing hair?

Nourishing is when you feed the hair with nutrients or other essentials, which can include moisturization.

Moisturizing is when you restore the lost moisture and hydration or add it to maintain the right levels for healthy hair.
